BOTS: Which payment method best works for you; cash, mobile money, or credit/debit cards

Business on the street [BOTS] is a vox pop show by YALife which seeks the opinions of random people on the streets of Ghana on business issues.

Ghana is on course as it diligently works towards limiting cash transactions to a cashless economy. In view of this, a variety of payment methods are available for financial transactions based on one’s preferred choice.

These payment options include

  • Cash
  • Checks
  • Credit/Debit cards
  • Mobile payment
  • Electronic bank transfers

Offering a variety of payment methods as a business attracts a wider variety of customers and allow customers to transact at their own convenience. Notwithstanding, there are pros and cons associated with each type of payment method as best known to you.

On this episode, Angie was on the streets of 37 in Accra to find out which payment method both vendors and buyers prefer; is it cash, mobile money or they want to swipe to pay?
